Over the past two years, the programme has given 167 laptops and more than 540 gifts, worth over 2 billion VND (82,118 USD) in total, to teachers in remote and disadvantaged areas in 14 provinces and cities across the country.
In Phu Yen, the programme donated 20 laptops to teachers in difficult circumstances, working in remote and extremely disadvantaged communes.
Ten scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND, were also granted to students with outstanding academic achievements at the district Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School.
Within the framework of the programme, Miss Universe H'Hen Nie told local students how she had overcame difficulties in her life and encouraged them to study harder.
