Muong La district holds volunteer programme for children

The Youth Union of Muong La district coordinated with relevant units to organise a programme entitled "Soldiers volunteer for beloved juniors" for nearly 100 children in Ta commune on June 1.

At the programme, Muong La district’s Youth Union and sponsors donated 10 flocks of "Red Scarf" chickens worth 10 million VND (393 USD) to 10 students in difficult circumstances and 91 gifts with a total value of nearly 50 million VND to children; organised parties for kids on the Children’s Day (June 1).

In addition, doctors from the district General Hospital and the young pharmacists club provided check-ups, consultations, and medicines for 50 children; and free haircuts for 20 children and people in Ta Bu commune.

The total value of the programme was nearly 100 million VND (3,930 USD).

The "Soldiers volunteer for beloved juniors" programme took place simultaneously throughout Son La province on June 1. With a series of meaningful activities, it demonstrated the attention of authorities at all levels, agencies, businesses, and social organisations to the care and education of adolescents and children, especially those in difficult circumstances as well as orphans in remote communes and especially difficult areas.
