As part of an initiative to mobilise social sources for solar-powered lighting systems in hamlets and residential clusters, since 2022, Bac Yen district has directed communes to raise awareness among residents about the benefits and significance of installing solar energy systems, and to provide consultations on installing systems tailored to the specific conditions of each area.

 

To date, the district has installed 2,123 solar-powered lights in 99 hamlets and residential clusters, achieving 100% public lighting coverage across all local areas. The total mobilised funding for the project has exceeded 5 billion VND (approx. 200,000 USD).
