On this occasion, they presented gifts to students of the Muong Bon Primary and Secondary School in Muong Bon commune, Mai Son district.
At the programme, a representative of the magazine highlighted the importance of forest, environment, and natural resources protection, and climate change response.
Leaders of the Mai Son district People’s Committee also launched a campaign on forest and environment protection, and new-style rural area building in the locality.
Local students receive scholarships.
The programme has helped raise the awareness of all-level Party committees, authorities, teachers, students, residents, press association members, and businesses of forest and environment protection; and called for joint efforts in this regard.
On this occasion, the magazine and businesses presented 21 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND (40.29 USD), along with 3,000 notebooks, 3,000 milk cartons, 200 backpacks, and 100 electric bulbs to students and hamlets in Muong Bon commune. They also handed over 40 million VND to Son La Newspaper to help Bo Sinh commune, Song Ma district, build a bridge. The total funding amounted to 150 million VND.
