Provincial police ramp up efforts to ensure traffic order, safety during upcoming holidays

The Traffic Police Unit at the Son La provincial Department of Public Security held a ceremony on April 22 to launch a month-long campaign aimed at ensuring traffic order and safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, as well as enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement in accordance with the Government’s Decree 168.

 

At the ceremony to launch the month-long campaign aimed at ensuring traffic order and safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

During the campaign, from April 21 to May 20, the unit will mobilise all available personnel, vehicles, and technical equipment to conduct patrols and strictly handle violations, focusing on handling the acts identified as the main causes of road traffic accidents.

It will also work to improve the effectiveness of crime prevention efforts and foster the communications work to raise public awareness of traffic order and safety.

The campaign aims to reduce traffic accidents, prevent serious cases; promptly stop and strictly deal with illegal gatherings, street racing, and resistance against on-duty personnel; and facilitate the celebrations, and ensure safe and smooth travel for the public during the holidays.
