The People’s Committee of Quyet Thang ward and the Son La Environment and Urban Services JSC presented seven health insurance cards to people with disabilities. VietinBank Son La also gave 10 gift packages to senior citizens in the locality.
On this occasion, 300 impoverished families, individuals in difficult circumstances, people with disabilities, and policy beneficiaries participated in the "Tet market of compassion," where they received vouchers to exchange for free Tet gifts. The Quyet Thang ward Red Cross Society, along with sponsors and benefactors, set up six "zero-dong” stalls offering essential goods and items, including noodles, rice, banh chung (square glutinous rice cake), seasoning, sugar, fish sauce, cooking oil, milk, various candies, Tet jams, blankets, water bottles, and more. The total value of the gifts exceeded 130 million VND (5,144 USD).
