In December 2023, Son La province instructed agencies, localities and investors to focus on speeding up the progress of and removing obstacles to public investment projects.

The provincial People's Committee submitted socio-economic development and public investment plans for 2024 to the provincial People’s Council for approval, ratified adjustments to the mid-term public investment plan for 2021-2025, and stepped up efforts to attract and support investors.

As of the end of December, the locality had disbursed more than 3.8 trillion VND in public investment.
