Son La Lottery donates 50 million VND for disaster relief

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La) on September 23 received 50 million VND (2,030 USD) from Son La Lottery Company Limited to support locals in overcoming natural disaster consequences.

At the reception, a VFF Son La leader thanked the compnay for its sentiments and sharing, and committed to allocating and using the money promptly, publicly and transparently, for the right purposes and in accordance with law, thus helping people in disaster-hit areas stabilise their lives soon.

As of September 23, the committee had received over 61 billion VND in direct donations from 127 organisations and individuals; and 300 million LAK (13,600 USD) from Houaphanh province of Laos. Currently, it is coordinating with localities to disburse the funds to support families who suffered human and property damage due to natural disasters.
