The conference was attended by Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong, and representatives of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, agencies, and the Northern Power Corporation, and major consumers.

Currently, the Son La Power Company supplies electricity to over 358,000 customers across the province. In 2024, the company ensured a safe and stable power supply to support socio-economic development and residential needs. Total commercial electricity output last year was 852.523 million kWh. The company is actively promoting energy-saving practices among customers and managing electricity demand, contributing to enhancing overall energy efficiency in the province.

For 2025, the company has developed an electricity supply plan based on the power grid system, load forecasts, and a list of priority customers. It continues to invest in infrastructure and technical management, completing key projects such as new 110 kV substations and capacity upgrade works. Currently, four projects are underway with a total investment of over 146 trillion VND (approximately 5.69 billion USD), contributing to meeting growing electricity demand and ensuring a stable power supply.

The company has also encouraged customers to comply with directives from the Prime Minister and the Chairperson of the provincial People's Committee on energy conservation. The goal is to reduce electricity consumption by 10% in public administrative agencies, achieve a 30% reduction in public lighting, and save 2% in industrial production and commercial services.
