Son La projects win high prizes at national sci-tech competition

Son La province earned three prizes at the 2024-2025 National Science and Technology Competition for Secondary and High School Students, which recently took place in Ho Chi Minh City. They included one second, one fourth and one promising prizes.

This year's competition featured 212 projects from 62 out of the 63 provinces and cities, as well as 12 high schools under universities nationwide. Son La province won prizes for three projects in the fields of social and behavioural sciences, earth and environmental sciences, and biochemistry, all developed by students from the Son La High School for the Gifted.

Specifically, students Nguyen Phuong Anh and Le Dang Hoang won the second prize for their project “The current state of cultural intelligence and the use of the CTC (Challenge to Change) model to improve cultural intelligence among high school students in Son La city.”

Meanwhile, students Pham Le Minh Chau and Le Hoang Giang secured the fourth prize for their project “Applying ecological adaptability mapping to develop the ‘Son La’ geographical indication for Arabica coffee in Thuan Chau district, Son La province.”

The promising prize was awarded to the project "Solutions for enriching GABA content in supplementary foods from germinated black soybeans using heat treatment and Vitamin B6" by students Le Anh Thu and Nguyen Hoang Nhat Minh.
