Son La province focuses on infrastructure investment

Over the past years, the provincial transport sector has paid attention to building and repairing provincial roads and sections of national highways, thus ensuring smooth and continuous traffic.

The road connecting Muong Lum commune in Yen Chau district with Tan Lap commune in Moc Chau district is opened to traffic.

The province has 14,927 roads stretching 19,414 km, including 10 national highways, and 17 provincial, 135 district, 313 urban, 2,941 communal, 57 specialised, and 11,454 hamlet roads.

It has completed a draft master plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, and submitted it to the Prime Minister for approval.

The locality has also prepared investment conditions for the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway project (the section running through Son La province).

Meanwhile, Na San Airport has been included in the master plan for the development of the national airport system for 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050, creating a driving force for socio-economic development in Son La province and the northwestern region at large./.
