A total of 160 gift packages and portions of pork were distributed to disadvantaged households and policy-beneficiary families in Chieng Khuong. Additionally, 49 gift packages were presented to policy beneficiaries, revolution contributors, prestigious individuals, those actively involved in border self-management, and others. Over 100 scholarships and gifts were awarded to underprivileged students and those with outstanding academic achievements despite hardships, while 10 bicycles were given to students facing financial difficulties.
The units also presented 10 gift packages to disadvantaged families in Dan hamlet, Muong Et district, Laos. Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong and leaders of the provincial Border Guard Command present national flags and portraits of President Ho Chi Minh to hamlets.
The programme also featured "zero-dong" stalls offering essential goods for disadvantaged families and policy beneficiaries in the border communes of Song Ma district, along with free eye consultations, check-ups, and medicines, with total funding exceeding 1.1 billion VND (43,426 USD).
Festive activities such as a banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) wrapping contest, cloth ball throwing, stick pushing, and tug-of-war added to the vibrant and joyful atmosphere for the local community.
