Van Ho district responds to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Van Ho district to organise a programme in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) and World Book and Copyright Day (April 23), and launch the 2024 lifelong learning week, at the Van Ho Secondary School on April 12.
The “Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day” programme is held at the Van Ho Secondary School.
The programme attracted more than 1,000 teachers and students from schools in Van Ho district, who engaged in culture and art exchanges, and a book arrangement competition, and the "Ring the Golden Bell" contest. It also featured a display of books, and the “library on wheels” model.

Up to 400 book titles were displayed and introduced on this occasion, including those on Uncle Ho, and history, culture and comic books.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh on September 15 inspected preparations for the construction of primary-secondary boarding schools in the border communes of Chieng Khoong, Muong Hung, and Chieng Khuong.
The tournament was jointly organised by the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam, and the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen province.

The Son La provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Steering Committee on September 12-13 held a firefighting and rescue skills competition at Tay Bac (Northwest) Square. The event featured participation from grassroots firefighting and rescue forces, civil defence teams, and community-based fire safety groups.
