Van Ho district responds to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Van Ho district to organise a programme in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) and World Book and Copyright Day (April 23), and launch the 2024 lifelong learning week, at the Van Ho Secondary School on April 12.
The “Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day” programme is held at the Van Ho Secondary School.
The programme attracted more than 1,000 teachers and students from schools in Van Ho district, who engaged in culture and art exchanges, and a book arrangement competition, and the "Ring the Golden Bell" contest. It also featured a display of books, and the “library on wheels” model.

Up to 400 book titles were displayed and introduced on this occasion, including those on Uncle Ho, and history, culture and comic books.

More than 19,000 ninth-grade students across Son La province on June 1 completed their Literature test, the first in the high school entrance examination for the 2026–2027 academic year. This year, the province has established 44 examination venues with a total of 817 rooms.

Quynh Nhai has long been recognised as the province’s largest hub for cage fish farming. Beyond aquaculture and natural fishing, the locality is shifting towards processing and brand development to enhance the economic value of aquatic products, boost incomes and ensure sustainable livelihoods for local communities.
