Youth programme exchanges recycled waste for plants

The Youth Union of Moc Chau township’s Moc Ly ward, in collaboration with its counterparts of the township Fire Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue Unit, the Moc Ly High School, and the Tay Tien Primary and Secondary School, on March 20 organised a programme to exchange recycled waste for plants to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - 2025).

At the programme, over 1,000 students, youth union members, and young people brought various used items such as student notebooks, textbooks, novels, newspapers, magazines, beer cans, soft drink cans, plastic items, aluminum, and iron to exchange them for plants like succulents, flower plants, and cherry trees.

During the event, the organisers also incorporated awareness-raising campaigns, encouraging youth members, students, and the public to use biodegradable, reusable, and environmentally friendly products, while reducing the use of single-use plastic items in daily life and in activities at agencies and organisations.
