The Son La provincial Steering Committee for Blood Donation, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Song Ma district, has organised the 2025 voluntary blood donation festival.

The provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with sponsors, organised an event titled "Proud of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union – Preserving Heritage, Aspiring to Reach Far" at the Elite Hill Son La Urban Area on March 22-23.

The Youth Union of Tay Bac (Northwest) University on March 22-23 held a forum titled "Youth of Tay Bac University proudly and confidently follow the Party" and a training session for youth union officers for the academic year 2024 - 2025. The event was attended by over 700 students currently studying at the university.

The Son La city Youth Union, in collaboration with the Youth Union of Son La Power Company, BIDV Son La, and the Son La Lottery One Member LLC, on March 21 installed and handed over the "Village Light" youth project 2025 to Nong La hamlet, Chieng Ngan commune, Son La city.

In response to Earth Hour 2025, more than 70 employees of Son La Power Company on March 21, joined a bicycle ride through the main streets of Son La city, carrying banners and slogans to promote the use of electricity in an efficient manner.

Earth Hour 2025, themed "Green Transition - Green Future," will take place from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Saturday (March 22), aiming at raising public awareness of energy conservation, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation.

One of the highlights at Son La city’s Ban (Bauhinia) Flower Festival 2025 was a performance by the renowned musician Le Minh Son, along with two talented young artists Truong Minh Hien and Tien Dat, from Hanoi.

The Veterans Association of Division 391 in Son La city on March 15 held a ceremony to mark the 50th founding anniversary of Division 391 and a meeting of the Truong Son – Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Association.

Healthcare facilities in Son La province delivered medical examinations and treatment for over 95,000 people in February, meeting the public's healthcare needs. Of them, more than 15,300 received inpatient care.

The provincial Youth Union on March 9 commenced the construction of a cultural house for the Khang ethnic community in Nam Gion commune, Muong La district.

As part of the "Border March" programme, the Youth Union of Hanoi’s Gia Lam district on March 7 presented gifts to its counterpart in Bac Yen district, Son La province, as well as local advantaged students.

The Red Cross Society of Son La province on February 26 coordinated with the Mai Son district Medical Centre to provide free health check-ups, consultations and medicine for 200  poor people, policy beneficiaries, the elderly, those who rendered service to the revolution, and victims of Agent Orange in Muong Chanh and Chieng Chung communes.

In January, the total revenue from social, health, and unemployment insurance premiums across Son La province reached nearly 173 billion VND (6.77 million USD).
