Dai Yem Waterfall, located in Muong Sang ward, Moc Chau township, is known as "Sai Peng" in Thai, which means "the string of love." The stream where the waterfall flows down is called "Ho Hen (Dating) Stream."  The waterfall cascades in a frothy white rush, creating a scene that is both majestic and poetic, peaceful and serene. The stunning natural landscape is linked with a romantic love story of a couple.

As part of the Son tra (Hawthorn) Flower Festival in Ngoc Chien commune, competitions of pounding round sticky rice cakes and performing ‘khen Mong’ (Mong panpipe) were held, attracting a large number of locals and visitors.

On the early morning on March 15, tourist groups from all over came to Ngoc Chien commune, Muong La district to attend the opening ceremony of the commune’s third Son Tra (Hawthorn) Flower Festival 2025.

In the early days of spring, along with the plum blossoms on the Moc Chau plateau, in Chieng Co commune, Son La city, plum orchards are also bursting with white flowers, covering the hillsides. To welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, the Happy Land Moc Chau tourist area, located in Lun hamlet, Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, has launched the "Old Tet Village" space, attracting a large number of visitors to explore, experience, and capture beautiful moments.

Phu Sa Phin is the highest peak in the Ta Xua mountain range, bordering Tram Tau district in Yen Bai province. The peak offers breathtaking scenery, with pristine forests that provide visitors with many exciting experiences as they conquer this place.

Van Ho district is hosting a programme to welcome its first visitors of the year as part of its tourism week. The January 8-9 event takes place in Buot hamlet, Chieng Yen commune, and Hua Tat and Chieng Di 1 hamlets, Van Ho commune.

As part of the "Journey to the ancient rock field of Hang Chu commune in 2025" festival, Hang Chu commune in Bac Yen district on January 4 hosted activities to experience and explore the unique carvings of the Khe Ho ancient rock field and uncover the thrilling tales of this relatively untouched land.

2024 has been a year of remarkable achievements for Son La’s tourism sector, with key objectives met ahead of schedule. Visitor numbers and tourism revenue have both surged, establishing a strong foundation for the local tourism industry to flourish and reach new heights.
