The event was attended by representatives of the VFF, leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, as well as 100 female athletes currently training at the provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.

AFC Women's Football Day, initiated by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), is held annually in member countries to honour and promote the development of women's football across the continent. This event not only provides a platform for women's football teams from member countries to interact and compete but also serves as an opportunity for young talents to showcase their abilities, gain experience, and inspire the football community in Vietnam.

This is the first time AFC Women's Football Day has been held in Son La province. During the event, female athletes participated in various activities, exchanged skills and competition experiences, engaged in team-building activities, and played sports games under the guidance of coaches. The event created an exciting and lively atmosphere, motivating and encouraging the female athletes of Son La to continue their hard work and passion for training and competition.

On this occasion, the VFF presented 20 footballs, 100 sets of sportswear, and training equipment, with a total value of nearly 80 million VND (3,136 USD), to the female athletes of the provincial Sports Training and Competition Centre.
