This year's festival featured exciting and intense races, with six teams comprising over 60 rowers from hamlets and Ta Bu Primary and Secondary School. The teams raced over a distance of 800 meters in a knockout format, with the top performers advancing to the finals to vie for the first, second, and third prizes. A large crowd of local residents and visitors gathered to cheer for the boat racers.

Along with the boat races, over 200 athletes from 12 teams representing 12 hamlets and schools in the commune participated in football, crossbow shooting, cloth ball throwing, and tug-of-war competitions. These activities created a lively and joyful atmosphere as the upcoming Lunar New Year is nearing.
During the festival, a special cultural exchange programme featured performances praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the hometown’s development. Additionally, there was an exhibition showcasing local cultural products, specialties, and commercial products.
At the conclusion of the festival, the organizers awarded five first, five second, and five third prizes to the winning teams in various categories. The first prize in boat racing went to the team from Tom hamlet.
The boat racing festival, and cultural and sports activities are organized annually by Ta Bu commune to promote the image and cultural identity of the local ethnic groups. They aim to preserve and promote the rich cultural traditions of the residents living along the Da River, laying the foundation for the development of tourism in Ta Bu commune in the coming years.
