Friendly football matches raise funds to support typhoon victims

Son La city’s Youth Union on September 15 organised a friendly football competition to raise funds for people and children affected by typhoon Yagi.

 

Players from clubs donate money to support typhoon victims.

The competition attracted the participation of four football clubs in the city, namely Ket Doan FC, 19H FC, Son La City Youth Football Centre FC and Petrolimex Son La FC. Before the matches begin, the teams donated nearly 50 million VND (2,037 USD).

Players entertain audience with exciting matches.

The teams competed in a knockout format for first, second and third prizes. The players entertained the audience with dramatic and exciting matches and many beautiful goals. This is a meaningful and humane activity, spreading the spirit of “helping each other” to support people affected by natural disasters in overcoming difficulties and soon stabilising their lives.
