Running event celebrates 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

A short-distance running event was held at Tay Bac Square in Son La city on June 14 morning to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – 2025).

The race, part of the 27th Son La provincial Radio and Television Festival 2025, attracted 160 runners who are officials and staff from agencies and units participating in the festival; media and culture centres from districts, Moc Chau township, and Son La city; press agencies; and soldiers from the provincial Border Guard Command.

Runners competed in a 5 km race around Tay Bac Square, with time recorded for scoring and ranking purposes. In cool weather, participants enthusiastically took part in the event, creating a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere that energized the start of the festival's activities and meaningfully celebrated the centenary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

At the end of the race, the organisers awarded two gold, two silver, and two bronze medals to the top runners, and presented commemorative medals to all participants.
