Running race held in Muong La commune

Muong La commune on September 1 organised a running race themed “Muong La on the Move” to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

The event attracted over 700 participants, including officials, civil servants, and local residents working and living in the commune.

Runners competed in an 8-kilometer race, starting from the commune's square, running to the Van Bu bridge roundabout, and returning to the starting point.

The prize structure included two first, two second, and two third prizes for both men’s and women’s categories. Winners will be awarded on the morning of September 2 by the Organising Committee.

The race is part of a series of vibrant activities held during the Muong La Ethnic Cultural Festival 2025, which spans two days (September 1-2). The festival features various cultural exchanges, performances, sports competitions, and unique cultural and culinary experiences that draw the enthusiastic participation of locals and visitors alike.
