Son La's athletes won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the 2024 National Muay Club Championship.

Son La province’s Ca Tuan Anh wins the gold medal in the 63.5kg category

The championship was held from March 3-10 in Vung Tau city by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in coordination with the Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Son La delegation included one coach, one referee and eight athletes. Finally, Ca Tuan Anh pocketed the gold medal in the 63.5 kg category, Quang Viet Hung got the silver medal in the 54 kg category, and two bronze medals went to Dinh Thi Duong and Nguyen Hoang Ha.

The championship attracted the competition of 400 coaches and athletes from 33 delegations from provinces, cities and sectors with strong Muay movements nationwide. Boxers are divided into two age groups (15-17 and 18-40 years old) competing in many different weight categories.

This was an opportunity to evaluate the quality of training of Muay athletes in the teams, and select outstanding ones to compete in major domestic and regional tournaments in the coming time.
