They were members of a Vietnamese youth team comprising two coaches and 10 athletes. Hoang Thi Thu Huyen bagged the gold in the 44 kg weight class and here teammate Luong Thi Hai Yen in the 46 kg weight class.

Huyen and Yen have been part of the national youth Taekwondo team since 2024. Previously, both had achieved impressive results: a gold medal at the 2025 Southeast Asian Youth Taekwondo Championship and a bronze medal at the 2025 Asian Youth Taekwondo Championship.

According to the Son La Taekwondo coaching staff, these are two promising young athletes who are expected to continue bringing home significant achievements for Son La sports and Vietnamese Taekwondo in the near future.
