Participating in the tournament were nine delegations from districts and Son La city, with more than 400 athletes. They compete in individual and team kyorugi (combat) events following the knockout format set in the World Taekeondo Federation’s competition rules, with the male and female individual categories in four age groups: under 12 years old; from 12-14 years old; from 15-17 years old; and from 18 years old.

The tournament takes place from July 16-20.
