The tournament drew more than 300 athletes from 18 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide, competing in men’s, women’s and mixed doubles across the 36–40, 41–45, 46–50, 51–55, 56–60, 61–65 and 66–70 age groups. A special men’s doubles event for leaders was held in the 51–60 and 61–70 age categories.

Son La sent 14 athletes to the tournament. After seven days of competition marked by teamwork and determination, its players overcame tough rivals from across the country to secure one gold in the men’s doubles 56–60 category, two silvers in the men’s doubles 46–50 and 61–65 categories, and two bronzes in the women’s doubles 61–65 and men’s doubles 66–70 categories.
