First Son La Coffee Festival 2023 wraps up

The Son La provincial People's Committee held the closing ceremony of the first Son La Coffee Festival 2023, themed "Son La Arabica - Origin of Creativity", at Tay Bac Square, Son La city on October 23 evening.

After four days (from October 20 to 23), the first Son La Coffee Festival 2023 was a great success, leaving deep impressions and attracting hundreds of thousands of people and tourists. During the festival, a series of events were held, inclouding the "Son La Coffee - Integration and Development" Expo; the inauguration of the Son La Coffee Processing Plant and a Cascara tea production line of Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company; a workshop on sustainable development and value improvement of Son La coffee; a conference promoting sale of Son La coffee and agricultural products; the Coffee Gala; an exhibition featuring beautiful photos of Son La coffee; the Competition for Excellent Farmers; and the Son La Book Fair 2023.

Collectives and individuals receive the certificates of merit from the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.

The first Son La Coffee Festival 2023 has become an activity with profound social significance, enhancing value and affirming the position of Son La coffee in domestic and foreign markets. At the same time, it honoured the growers, producers, processors and traders of Son La Arabica coffee.

During the closing ceremony, an art programme with the theme "Son La Arabica - Origin of Creativity" took place, featuring special singing, dancing and music performances, tableaus and plays praising the formation and development of the Son La Arabica coffee brand; cultural traditions of the ethnic people of Son La province and unique identities, spiritual beauty, love for people and homeland, majestic and beautiful natural landscapes in Son La province in particular and the northwestern region in general.
