Attending the closing ceremony were Ha Trung Chien, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; experts and scientists; and representatives of businesses, cooperatives and participating organisations.

The event attracted more than 100 agencies and organisations, nearly 300 delegates attending in person, around 500 visitors and hundreds of online participants. Forums and thematic conferences focused on the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in agriculture, processing and traceability; business model innovation; packaging design, brand building, digital communications, and technology supply-demand connections.

The one-on-one in-depth consulting programme involved 52 businesses and cooperatives, with 75 direct consulting sessions, identifying 58 needs requiring continued follow-up and support. Through the sessions, 24 expert-business, cooperative pairs agreed to continue their engagement after the event. At a technology and market supply-demand connection conference, four initial connections were established between businesses and cooperatives and technology solution providers.

As part of the Son La Innovation and Digital Transformation Day 2026, 39 booths showcased research results, products, models and solutions in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. Son La province also launched its Innovation Expert and Advisory Network, creating an additional channel to connect businesses and cooperatives with experts, scientists and supporting organisations.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chien asked the Department of Science and Technology, along with other departments, agencies and localities, to receive, consolidate and monitor proposals, needs, initiatives and connections established during the event. They were also asked to identify issues that could be implemented immediately, those that should be developed into science, technology and innovation tasks, those that could attract business investment, and issues requiring solutions in terms of mechanisms and policies.

Departments and agencies should continue to support businesses, cooperatives and residents in selecting and applying appropriate technologies; improving production processes; enhancing product quality; protecting intellectual property; ensuring traceability; building brands; developing e-commerce; and expanding markets, he said.

The official expressed his hope that experts, businesses and partners would continue to work with Son La in cooperation, technology transfer, investment, product development and market expansion, contributing to making science and technology, innovation and digital transformation drivers of the province’s socio-economic development.

On the occasion, the Organising Committee presented one first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes to outstanding booths at the event.
