During the third quarter, the working group’s standing body reviewed the criteria, identified specific tasks and solutions, and set a roadmap to complete the targets, particularly challenging ones related to staff training, research projects and schemes, and the organisation of provincial- and ministry-level scientific workshops.
It also continued finalising the draft of a plan for submission to the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board for issuance, implementing Project No. 01-DA/TU on building and developing the Son La provincial Political School to maintain Level 1 status and strive to meet Level 2 standards in the 2026-2030 period.
As of September 2026, the school had met 34 of the 60 criteria for a Level 2-standard political school across six groups of criteria. Training and professional development met all seven criteria.
The school is running 15 training and professional development classes, while renewing teaching content and methods and gradually digitising training management. It currently 30 lecturers, with two pursuing doctoral degrees.
Scientific research and reviews of practical experience had been stepped up, with two of three seminars held as planned. The school has also completed the lecture book “Practical experience and lessons in building and developing Son La province” and is expected to submit it for publication in October 2026.
At the meeting, participants commented on a draft decision to consolidate the working group tasked with implementing the scheme to maintain the school’s Level 1 status and strive for Level 2 accreditation in the 2026-2030 period.
They also discussed a plan to organise a delegation to study and exchange experience, while proposing measures to promote scientific research, develop cultural standards for the Party school, and complete facilities and equipment to meet Level 2 requirements.
Speaking at the meeting, Hung asked members of the working group to proactively urge relevant departments, sectors and the school to carry out assigned tasks on schedule. He requested effective implementation of plans for cadre training and professional development, continued efforts to send lecturers for doctoral and advanced political theory training, and practical field studies.
He also called for accelerating research projects and scientific workshops, developing a Party school culture and maintaining discipline and order in line with Level 2 standards, coordinating in carrying out investment projects to ensure progress, quality and efficiency, and implementing scientific research tasks for the 2026-2030 period./.
