They included Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial delegation to the NA, and Hoang Ngan Hoan, member of the National Assembly Committee for Public Petitions and Supervision and full-time deputy head of the provincial NA delegation.
Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, among other officials attended the meeting.
At the meeting, representatives of the People’s Committees of Moc Chau, Moc Son, Thao Nguyen and Van Son wards reported on their socio-economic development and national defence and security performance in the first nine months of 2026 and made recommendations to central agencies.
The provincial NA delegation briefed participants on the expected agenda of the second session of the 16th NA and its activities since the first session.
Voters in Moc Chau, Moc Son, Thao Nguyen and Van Son wards called on competent authorities to resolve issues related to houses built on agricultural land in line with residential land-use plans. They also proposed consistent regulations on public disclosure of information and community meetings, as well as lower interest rates and higher policy credit limits.
They called for streamlining the 2018 General Education Programme at the secondary level, raising allowances and improving salary schemes and benefits for public employees, and increasing support for voluntary social insurance participants.
Other proposals included integrating and simplifying online public services and allocating resources to improve infrastructure in areas developing community-based tourism.
After hearing the voters’ recommendations, Viet and representatives of relevant departments and agencies addressed matters within their jurisdiction. They also provided further information and clarification on several issues related to socio-economic development and the implementation of mechanisms and policies in the province.
For his part, Nghiem praised voters for their sense of responsibility, dedication and constructive contributions. He called on Party committees and authorities at all levels to uphold responsibility and discipline, and proactively and resolutely carry out political and professional tasks, particularly those facing difficulties, to achieve better results.
He also urged greater attention to resolving voters’ requests and issues related to social benefits and policies, with the relevant matters, responsible agencies and response deadlines clearly identified. For issues under the jurisdiction of central agencies, the delegation will fully compile the recommendations and forward them to competent authorities, while continuing to monitor and urge their resolution.
On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons (October 1), the delegation gave 40 gifts from NA Vice President Nguyen Thi Hong to respected elderly people and those with meritorious services in Moc Chau, Moc Son, Thao Nguyen and Van Son wards./.
