The event also saw the attendance of Duong Tu Anh, member of the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board and Chairwoman of the provincial Party Committee’s Board for Inspection; and Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, among others.
The steering committee was established under Decision No. 333-QD/TU dated May 8, 2026, issued by the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, to direct the implementation of three resolutions of the provincial Party Committee. These include Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU on sustainable agricultural development linked with processing industries; Resolution No. 13-NQ/TU on addressing outstanding issues and bottlenecks and effectively managing and using land originating from former agricultural and forestry farms; and Resolution No. 14-NQ/TU on reviewing, rearranging and stabilising residential areas at locations facing a high risk of flash floods, floods, landslides and inundation.
Under Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU, the province has continued to organise agricultural production towards developing raw material areas, improving product quality and linking production with processing and markets.
Implementing Resolution No. 13-NQ/TU, the province has focused on addressing outstanding issues in the management and use of 18,851 hectares of land handed over by agricultural and forestry companies to local authorities. It has carried out land surveying, reviewed legal documents and verified land-use origins. To date, detailed surveys have been completed at five of the seven companies covered by the programme.
Following Resolution No. 14-NQ/TU, the province has reviewed and conducted field surveys at 80 residential areas in 35 communes and wards at risk of flash floods, floods, landslides and inundation, in order to assess the level of danger and identify priority areas for relocation. Seven new projects have been launched to relocate 222 households from eight areas at high risk of landslides, while six others are to be implemened to relocate 254 households.
At the meeting, participants focused on clarifying difficulties and obstacles in implementing the three resolutions, particularly those related to organising production chains and developing processing industries; identifying the origins of agricultural and forestry land and addressing related issues; and site clearance, land allocation and mobilisation of resources for residential resettlement projects. They also gave comments on a draft project to relocate dairy cattle herds in Van Son and Thao Nguyen wards.
Concluding the meeting, Cua asked the Standing Office of Steering Committee 333 to incorporate participants’ opinions and add an assessment of the implementation of tasks assigned at the previous meeting, and complete a report, proposals and recommendations for submission to the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board.
Regarding the project to relocate dairy cattle herds, he requested that the project be redrafted with a comprehensive assessment of related issues and a clear identification of the tasks required for the relocation. He also called for the study and proposal of appropriate mechanisms and policies to ensure the work is carried out promptly and in compliance with regulations, and maintain stable production and livelihoods for farming households./.
