Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and head of the its Commission for Information and Education, on September 13 examined efforts to fix the consequences of floods caused by typhoon Yagi and presented gifts to affected families in Hua Pang commune, Moc Chau district.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La) on September 12 launched a fundraising campaign to support efforts to fix consequences caused by super typhoon Yagi.

The Phu Yen district People's Committee on August 16 held a ceremony to receive a certificate recognising the ritual part of the “Xip xi” Festival, the Tet of the White Thai people in Quynh Nhai and Phu Yen districts, as national intangible cultural heritage. The ceremony was held at the Dinh Chu historical site in Chieng Ha hamlet, Quang Huy commune.

Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and deputy head of the provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, and Search and Rescue, inspected the fixing of landslide consequences and the arrangement of resettlement sites for affected households in Ta Xua commune, Bac Yen district.
