The Dong Sua Festival was held in Kha hamlet, Sap Vat commune, Yen Chau district on June 8, opening the series of activities of the 5th Yen Chau Mango Festival 2024. This festival features folk beliefs and the cultural beauty of the Thai ethnic group in Yen Chau district.

The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on April 16 organised an art exchange programme to welcome writers and artists of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations on their journey named "Through the Northwest - Back to Dien Bien".

Pi Toong commune, Muong La district on April 12 organised the 2024 Pang A Festival and a cultural space of the La Ha ethnic group. The festival is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the district Party Organisation (June 15, 1949 - 2024); and 45 years of moving the district centre to It Ong town (1979-2024).

During March 25 and 26, in Ta Vat hamlet, the provincial Museum coordinated with Mai Son district’s Phieng Pan commune in surveying, researching, and documenting the Ksaisatip ritual of the Xinh Mun ethnic group.

Moc Chau district March 24 held the Rain Praying Festival 2024, a traditional festival of the Thai ethnic group recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage in January this year.

Nearly 500 artisans and amateur artists performed Xoe, a folk dance of the Thai ethnic group, during the first Xoe Thai Dance Festival, which took place in Muong Khoa commune, Bac Yen district on March 22-23.

The culinary quintessence of ethnic groups in Van Ho district was highlighted at a cooking contest held in Chieng Khoa commune on March 17 as part of the Ban (Bauhinia) Flower Festival 2024 in the district. 

Within the framework of the Van Ho Ban (Bauhinia) Flower Festival 2024, the final round of the "Ban Flower Beauty" contest took place on the evening of March 16 in Chieng Khoa commune.
