The performances showcased vibrant Mong dances and the mesmerising melodies of the khen (panpipe). Nearly 30 local performers took the stage, bringing to life the rich traditions and daily rhythms of the Mong ethnic people.
They also highlighted the Mong community's exceptional expertise in raising, taming, and training horses—an enduring tradition that remains vital to their livelihood and daily life.
In the past, the Mong people in Hang Dong depended on horses as their main mode of transport and goods delivery. More than just prized possessions, these loyal steeds were indispensable companions, navigating the steep and winding trails of the highlands.
