Following the Politburo’s Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025, on the investment policy for building schools in border areas, Son La has dispatched delegations to survey potential construction sites.

Long Sap commune currently has two primary and secondary schools with 64 classes and 1,725 students. The new inter-level boarding school is expected to accommodate around 1,000 students, while the two existing schools will remain operational to serve 569 primary and 156 secondary students.

In Chieng Son commune, there are three schools with 102 classes and 3,160 students. The planned inter-level boarding facility will also serve approximately 1,000 students. Two of the existing schools will continue to operate, providing education for 1,019 primary and 478 secondary students.

After inspecting the proposed sites, Xuan called on relevant departments and agencies to swiftly finalise investment plans and documentation. She emphasised the need to select locations with favourable terrain and access to ensure smooth construction and operational efficiency.

Authorities were also instructed to carefully assess the scale of classrooms and supporting infrastructure to meet requirements for both boarding and semi-boarding students.
