Provincial Party official presents Tet gifts in Quynh Nhai commune

Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and head of the committee’s Organisation Board, together with a provincial working delegation, on February 8 conducted a field visit to Quynh Nhai commune to review the local situation and present Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts. Leaders from Muong Gion, Muong Chien, and Muong Sai communes also attended the event.

At the working session, the provincial delegation listened to a report from the leadership of Quynh Nhai commune on key achievements in socio-economic development, national defence and security, Party building, and strengthening of the political system in 2025. The commune also reported on leadership, direction, and implementation of tasks in preparation for the Lunar New Year 2026.

Accordingly, the commune’s socio-economic situation remained basically stable and recorded many positive results, with 20 out of 22 targets met or exceeded. Average per capita income reached nearly 26.55 million VND (1,023 USD) per year. In caring for the people during the Lunar New Year, the commune established working groups to visit villages, present gifts, and assess living conditions; ensured timely disbursement of benefits for people with meritorious service, poor and near-poor households, and prestigious individuals in the community; and organised respectful and well-prepared longevity celebrations for the elderly.

Speaking at the meeting, Thanh requested that the Party Committee and local authorities of Quynh Nhai commune proactively monitor market conditions, ensure sufficient supply, and stabilise prices of essential goods; effectively carry out medical examination and treatment, and ensure food safety during the Tet holiday. At the same time, they were urged to review and promptly care for poor households, policy beneficiary families, ethnic minority communities, and vulnerable groups, ensuring that every household can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.

He also required the assignment of leaders and officials to remain on duty during the Tet holiday to promptly handle arising situations; strictly implement information reporting regimes during the holiday period; maintain administrative discipline; and resume work immediately after the holiday, with determination to successfully accomplish the targets and tasks of 2026 from the very beginning of the year.

On this occasion, the head of the provincial Party Committee’s Organisation Board presented Tet gifts from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to the communes of Quynh Nhai, Muong Gion, Muong Chien, and Muong Sai.

He also awarded 80 gift packages to poor households and policy beneficiary families across the four communes; and provided financial support for fireworks displays for the Lunar New Year 2026 to Quynh Nhai commune.
