Since the beginning of this year, Son La province’s Center for Disease Control has screened nearly 4,000 people in 22 economically difficult communes for hypertension and diabetes.

A working group of the provincial Centre for Disease Control on July 29 inspected and supervised the implementation of environmental sanitation and domestic water treatment in Tong Co commune following storm Prapiroon, the second of its kind hitting Vietnam this year.

They may be accompanied by thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Son La province is maintaining the operation of 285 safe agricultural and aquatic product supply chains.

The provincial Red Cross on July 25 visited and gave gifts to 60 households whose houses were completely flooded in Phe, Co, and Thum Cay hamlets, Tong Co commune, Thuan Chau district, with a total value of 90 million VND (3,560 USD).
