Chieng Le Primary School raises over 56 million VND for storm victims

In response to the call from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the provincial Red Cross Society, on September 16, the Chieng Le Primary School in Son La city organised a programme to raise fund in support of the northern communities affected by typhoon Yagi.

 

The school's teachers and students raise fund in support of residents impacted by typhoon Yagi. 

The school decided to cancel this year's Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, reallocating the entire budget for this event to support the storm-hit communities, helping them quickly stabilise their lives and enabling the affected children to return to school. The total amount donated by the teachers and students during the programme exceeded 56 million VND (2,281 USD).

The Chieng Le Primary School gives gifts to students in difficult circumstances.

The school also presented 25 gifts, including clothes, sweets, and books, to disadvantaged students on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
