Chieng Mai prepares for winter-spring crop 2026

Implementing the 2026 winter-spring crop production plan, the Chieng Mai commune general service centre has assigned specialised staff to closely monitor the situation at the grassroots level, coordinate with hamlet heads and households to review the area, prepare seeds and agricultural supplies, and provide technical guidance on land preparation.

Staff from the Chieng Mai commune general service centre go to the fields to guide people in planting at the correct density.

Accordingly, the total planting area in the 2026 winter-spring crop in the commune is 5,845 hectares. Of which, 387.84 hectares are rice, and the remaining are for vegetables, beans, and other crops.

Currently, farmers in the hamlets are proactively securing seeds and agricultural supplies, ensuring adherence to the planting schedule, and striving to complete growing on time, contributing to the successful achievement of the 2026 agricultural production goals.
