"The Essence and Aroma of Arabica Coffee” programme held at Tay Bac University

Tay Bac University, in coordination with Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company, on June 4 held a programme themed  “The Essence and Aroma of Arabica Coffee.”

The event was attended by Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies and associations; several local businesses; and the university’s representatives and students.

The programne is a practical and meaningful activity aimed at honouring the distinctive value of Son La Arabica coffee; showcasing achievements in production, processing, and brand building; and creating a forum to connect policymakers, scientists, businesses, cooperatives, producers, as well as educational and research institutions.
Within the programme, the two units coordinated to organise a series of vibrant and meaningful activities, including an exhibition presenting the processes of cultivation, care, harvesting, processing, finished products, brewing, and tasting of Arabica coffee; a livestream session introducing and selling coffee products; a video presentation introducing Son La Arabica coffee; and the launch of a new song titled “The Essence and Aroma of Son La Coffee” and the digital product innovation contest on Son La Arabica coffee.

In his remarks, Viet affirmed that the event is a meaningful activity that strengthens the linkage between education and practice. He requested Tay Bac University to continue promoting its role as a bridge between science and practice; to enhance research activities, technology transfer, and the training of high-quality human resources serving the development of the coffee sector and other key agricultural products of the province.

He also expressed his hope that businesses, cooperatives, and producers will continue to strengthen cooperation and value-chain linkages; focus on safe production, environmental protection, brand building, and improving the competitiveness of Son La coffee products in the market.
