Hai Mount is one of the highest peaks in the city, with an altitude of nearly 1,000 m above the sea level. It is associated with the legendary story about the formation and development history of the Thai ethnic group in the city. From its top, people can see the vast landscape of Son La city.

At more than 5:00 a.m., from Picenza urban area, 200 athletes set out to conquer Hai Mount in two categories: individual male and female with a distance of 3.5km. To conquer the mountain, the athletes crossed the trails and followed the mountainside with increasingly steep and difficult slopes, challenging their perseverance and endurance.

With effort and determination, after nearly 2 hours, all athletes completed the conquest of Hai Mount. The tournament was an opportunity for mountain enthusiasts to conquer challenges, and also a new direction in building and developing the sport of mountain climbing (trekking) into a strong local tourism product.
