Mai Son commune Party Committee’s Standing Board under oversight over project management

Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and deputy head of the provincial Steering Committee for Preventing and Combating Corruption, Wastefulness and Negative Practices, on October 6 chaired a conference to implement the Steering Committee’s decision to conduct oversight of the Standing Board of the Mai Son commune Party Committee. Hung also heads the supervision team established under Decision No. 05-QD/BCD issued on October 1, 2026 by the Steering Committee.

The conference was attended by Luong Thi Van Anh, member of the provincial Party Committee Standing Board, head of the provincial Party Committee’s Board for Internal Affairs, standing deputy head of the provincial Steering Committee and deputy head of the supervision team, along with members of the supervision team and members of the Mai Son commune Party Committee’s Standing Board.

At the event, the supervision team announced the decision, oversight plan, working schedule and reporting outline for reviewing the leadership, direction and implementation of Party policies and regulations and State laws on preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness and negative practices in the implementation of the project to build offices for the political and administrative agencies of the former Mai Son district.

The oversight will focus on key areas, including leadership and direction in implementing the project; planning and the project’s compliance with relevant plans; the organisation of the architectural design competition; the formulation, appraisal and approval of the investment policy, project, design and cost estimates, as well as subsequent adjustments; bidding, contractor selection, contract signing and implementation; management and use of investment capital; site clearance; and the management of construction quality and quantities, project acceptance, payment and final settlement.

Under the plan, the oversight is scheduled to be completed before November 15, 2026.

A representative of the Mai Son commune Party Committee’s Standing Board pledged to strictly comply with and implement the provincial Steering Committee’s oversight decision and plan. They also committed to preparing the required reports and all relevant documents and records, and to closely coordinating with the supervision team to ensure the work is carried out on schedule and to the required standards.

Concluding the conference, Hung asked the supervision team and the Mai Son commune Party Committee’s Standing Board to strictly comply with and implement the provincial Steering Committee’s decision and oversight plan in accordance with Party regulations on inspection and oversight, ensuring that the review meets its requirements and remains on schedule./.
