The festival will take place from October 9 to 13, with the opening ceremony scheduled for October 10 evening at Tay Bac Square. Preparations for the event, including the main stage, decorations, electricity and telecommunications systems, environmental sanitation, traffic diversion plans and rehearsals for the art programme, are now in their final stages.
After inspecting the site, Cong asked the contractor to accelerate progress, strictly comply with technical standards, ensure absolute occupational safety, and prevent members of the public from entering the construction area.
Regarding the trade fair area, Cong asked the organisers to arrange the booths in a scientific and orderly manner, with priority given to highlighting Son La Arabica coffee and distinctive local agricultural products. All displayed products must have clear origins and meet food safety and hygiene requirements. Businesses and cooperatives are encouraged to provide visitors with free coffee-tasting spaces.
The festival will feature a wide range of activities, including a fair showcasing outstanding rural industrial products, the “Son La Arabica Master Cup” competition, the “Son La Arabica” Marathon, a scientific workshop on sustainable, ecological coffee development, the 2026 Son La Coffee Trade Connectivity Conference, and the “Farmers’ Competition” and Coffee Farm Tour. The “Son La Arabica Melodies” concert will combine music, art and coffee to create a unique experiential space.
The series of events is expected to offer a distinctive cultural and economic experience, contributing to raising the profile of Son La coffee in domestic and international markets./.
