Son La police on high alert for Coffee Festival 2026

More than 300 police officers and personnel from divisions under the provincial Department of Public Security and police units in To Hieu, Chieng Coi, Chieng Sinh and Chieng An wards have been mobilised to maintain security and public order during the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026, which runs from October 9 to 13. The operation also involves 40 members of grassroots security forces from To Hieu and Chieng Coi wards.

Authorities will regulate traffic, maintain road safety and strengthen fire prevention and firefighting measures. Police will also conduct patrols and inspections to prevent theft, public disturbances and other offences. Security personnel will be stationed at 40 checkpoints at junctions and intersections around Tay Bac Square.

The operation also covers exhibition booths showcasing outstanding rural industrial products, as well as other events and activities held as part of the festival.
