Son La artists’ works showcased at 28th Northwest - Viet Bac Region III Fine Arts Exhibition

Eight works of seven artists from Son La province are being showcased at the 28th Northwest-Viet Bac Region III Fine Arts Exhibition, which opened in Cao Bang province on September 27.

This year's exhibition displays more than 210 works by 195 painters, artists and sculptors from 15 provinces in the region, namely Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc and Yen Bai.

The works, made of different materials and having various styles of expression, feature the beauty of traditional culture as well as achievements in the country's renewal process. Many of them demonstrate exploration and creativity and keep pace with contemporary art trends.

The jury then selected 12 outstanding works to award prizes, including one A, two B, three C and six consolation prizes; nominated 23 works for the award of the National Committee of the Alliance of Arts and Literature Associations of Vietnam; and awarded 10 insignias for the cause of Vietnamese Fine Arts to provincial leaders and members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.

In 2024, Son La province will host the 29th edition./.

Outside in the fields, cooperative members diligently tend to rows of organic vegetables, as well as plum, grape, peach, and strawberry trees. Inside the processing workshop, modern machinery operates day and night, producing delicious batches of dried fruit.
