During the five-day holiday from April 30 to May 4, Son La province’s traffic police deployed forces and vehicles to conduct patrols and ensure traffic safety and order on roads and waterways. As a result, they detected 583 cases of road traffic safety violations, imposed fines of more than 1.7 billion VND (65,400 USD), revoked seven driving licences, and temporarily detained 263 vehicles.

 

Of the total, 136 cases were related to alcohol concentration, with fines of more than 684 million VND. During the holiday, one traffic accident occurred, leaving one dead, down three cases, two deaths, and four injuries compared to the same period last year.
