The People’s Procuracy of Area 4 – Son La, in coordination with the Yen Chau commune police and Yen Chau High School, on April 27 organised a programme to disseminate laws on preventing and combating school violence, as well as acts involving the illegal use of military-grade weapons, including highly lethal knives, for more than 1,000 students and youth union members of the school.

At the legal eduction programme at Yen Chau High School.

At the programme, the units provided legal education on preventing and combating school violence, and introduced regulations under Article 304 of the Penal Code concerning the illegal use of military-grade weapons.

They also highlighted new provisions of the 2024 Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Support Tools, as well as Circular No. 75 of the Ministry of Public Security on the management of highly lethal knives in connection with their intended use.

A lively atmosphere at the programme.

In addition, the programme provided guidance on behavioural skills, self-protection skills, and ways to help prevent and combat school violence. It helped students raise awareness and strengthen law compliance, build a healthy and responsible lifestyle, and create a vivid, practical and student-friendly legal education environment. The activity was a meaningful effort contributing to juvenile crime prevention, fostering a safe and healthy learning environment, and joining hands to push back school violence.
