Provincial Association of Promoting Education launches tasks for second quarter

The Standing Committee of the 5th-term provincial Association of Promoting Education on April 17 held its 16th meeting to review the results of study promotion activities in the first quarter of 2026 and launch tasks for the second quarter.

In the first quarter, the association actively conducted communication and mobilisation efforts, encouraging its chapters at all levels to implement the “Building a Learning Society for the 2021–2030 Period” project and the “Promoting Lifelong Learning in Families, Lineages, Communities, and Organisations for the 2021–2030 Period” programme issued by the Prime Minister. 

The association also coordinated the organisation of a conference to review five years (2021–2025) of implementing the “Building a Learning Society for the 2021–2030 Period” project. In addition, it collaborated in developing plans and regulations for the “Literature and Arts Composition Contest on Study Promotion, Talent Promotion, and Building a Learning Society in 2026.”

During the quarter, more than 200 scholarships were awarded to disadvantaged students with strong academic performance and students with disabilities. Another 87 scholarships were granted to students who won prizes in the provincial-level science and technology competition for secondary school students, as well as to children under the Border Guard’s child adoption programme and the “Supporting Children’s Education” initiative.

The association directed the establishment and organisation of congresses for study promotion associations at the commune and ward levels. As of April 15, 20 communes and wards had established their association for promoting education, and six communes had successfully held their first-term congresses.

In the second quarter, the provincial Association for Promoting Education will continue directing the establishment and organisation of the commune- and ward-level associations’ first-term congresses (2026–2031), striving to complete this task before May 15, 2026. It will also finalise draft documents for its Congress for the 2021–2026 term.

At the same time, the association will actively prepare activities such as awarding the “Learning Never Ends” scholarships in 2026; organising a seminar on “The role of lifelong learning in improving the happiness index of the people – Responsibilities of authorities at all levels, sectors, social organisations, and the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education”; conducting training conferences on study promotion work; and developing plans and allocating scholarships for the “Exam Season Support” programme in 2026.
