The Son La provincial Red Cross Society, in collaboration with its counterpart from Hanoi’s Thuong Tin district, on January 18 organised a programme to offer Tet gifts to residents in Chieng Dong commune, Mai Son district, as the Lunar New Year is approaching.

The Son La provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with the Thuan Chau district Youth Union, the Chieng Ngam commune People's Committee, and Long Chau Pharmacy in Son La - Lai Chau area, on January 9 organised a programme to care for and support children on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, at the Chieng Ngam Primary School in Chieng Ngam commune, Thuan Chau district.

The provincial Literature and Arts Award Council on January 9 held a ceremony to summarize and present prizes to winners of the 3rd provincial Literature and Arts Awards for the 2022-2024 period.

The provincial Department of Education and Training and the provincial Association for Learning Promotion on January 3 organised a conference to sign the programme to enhance learning and talent promotion, and build a learning society for the 2024-2030 period. The event was connected to schools under the Department of Education and Training.

The Son La Power Company on January 3 coordinated with the provincial Department of Industry and Trade to organise a customer appreciation programme during which they handed over the "Lighting up rural roads" project and gave gifts to disadvantaged students in Pi Toong commune, Muong La district.

The Vietnam Students' Association of Son La province on January 3 organised a programme to visit and present gifts to children at the provincial Inclusive Education Development Support Centre on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025.

This event was to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students and the Vietnam Students Association (January 9, 1950 – 2025).

The Muong Cai Border Guard Station on January 4 coordinated with the People's Procuracy and the Youth Union of Song Ma district, and the Muong Cai commune People's Committee to organise the “warm spring” and “Tet at the border” programmes 2025 for local residents in Na Don, Co Bay, and Huoi Co hamlets.

The Son La city Military Command, in cooperation with the Police, People's Court, People's Procuracy, and the Forest Protection Department of the city, organised a programme entitled "Spring of Solidarity – Tet Filled with Military-Civilian Bonds" in response to the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025 in Chieng Den commune on January 4.

In 2024, Son La province’s administrative reform achieved significant progress as its administrative reform index continued to rise, ranking 13th out of the 63 provinces and cities, affirming the determination and commitment of local authorities to reform and innovation.
