The Union of Science and Technology Associations of Son La province on November 27 organised a workshop on the application of e-commerce in fruit product consumption connectivity for a number of businesses and cooperatives in the locality.

Son La province is showcasing their products at an exhibition promoting tourism in the Red River Delta and surrounding areas in Vinh Phuc province from November 23-26.

Mai Son district has exported over 153,000 tonnes of goods to China, the European Union (EU), North America, the US, the Middle East and ASEAN countries so far this year, earning 44.3 million USD in revenue.

Son La province established 12 new agricultural cooperatives in October, bringing the total number of cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector to 829, along with six cooperative unions.

The total aquatic output in Son La province reached over 9,600 tonnes in the first 10 months of 2023.

Last month, total revenue from passenger and goods transportation services in Son La province reached over 273 billion VND (11.23 million USD), an increase of nearly 14% year-on-year.

Phong Lai commune in Thuan Chau district, Son La province, is home to 650 hectares of tea, which yield 7,800 tonnes per year.

The Farmers’ Union of Son La province on November 1 coordinated with VNPT Son La and the provincial Post Office in holding a workshop providing training on digital transformation skills for outstanding farmers to join e-commerce platforms.

Muong Chanh commune, Mai Son district has 437 hectares of coffee, of which 400 hectares are under harvest, with an output in 2023 estimated at 4,800 tonnes.

The total retail sales of consumer goods and services in Son La province last month increased 15.8% year on year to almost 2.53 trillion VND (102.88 million USD).

With diligence and constant learning, Luong Thi Thuy, a member of the Women's Union of Hang Trung II hamlet, Van Ho commune, Van Ho district, has put new crop varieties into production, bringing in high economic efficiency.

Banks in Son La province mobilised about VND32 trillion (1.3 billion USD) as of October 31, an increase of 6.55% over the same period in 2022.

The provincial Farmers’ Union in coordination with Tay Bac (Northwest) Agricultural Investment and Services Company Limited on October 31 handed over nearly 26 tonnes of organic fertilisers, 3 tonnes of lime powder, 14 litres of organic foliar fertilisers, and 300 bottles of pesticides to farmers in Hun hamlet, Chieng Co commune, Son La city.

Long Phieng commune in Yen Chau district is home to over 600 hectares of longan, mainly late-ripening.

Since the beginning of this year, the output of aquatic products in Quynh Nhai district has surpassed 1,300 tonnes, of which nearly 1,000 tonnes have been farmed, and the rest caught on the reservoir by local people.
