The People's Committee of Son La city coordinated with the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment in organising a ceremony at the Heo hamlet cultural house to respond to the World Environment Day on June 5, and the 2024 Action Month for the Environment.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Ho district held its 3rd Congress for the 2024-2029 tenure on June 4-5, with the attendance of 200 delegates representing ethnic groups in the district.

Attending the event were leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Quynh Nhai district leaders and 159 delegates representing more than 68,000 ethnic minority people in the district. 

Quynh Nhai district held the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities 2024 on June 3, with the attendance of leaders from the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and Quynh Nhai district as well as 164 delegates representing more than 68,000 ethnic minorities in the district.

The provincial steering committee on implementing democracy at the grassroots level on June 3 launched an online contest aiming to raise public awareness of laws on grassroots democracy.

The provincial People's Committee on May 29 organised a competition on firefighting and rescue skills among inter-family fire safety groups in Son La province.

Sop Cop district on May 29 convened the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities on May 29.

Yen Chau district organised the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities 2024 on May 29.

Phu Yen district on May 29 held the “determined to win” emulation congress of the armed forces for the 2019-2024 period.

Trang Thi Xuan, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the steering committee for the 2024 high school graduation exam in Son La province, on May 27 chaired a meeting of the committee to review preparations for the exam.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong on May 27 visited the Doveco Son La Fruit and Vegetable Processing Centre where he had a working session with its leaders on solutions to promote mango sale.

On May 24, Quynh Nhai district organised the Determined to Win Emulation Congress of its armed forces in the 2019-2024 period.

The Youth Committee of the People's Public Security of the Party and Political Work Department under the Ministry of Public Security and the Son La provincial Youth Union coordinated with Son La provincial Police and Bac Yen district held a ceremony to launch the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2024 on May 24 in the district’s Chieng Sai commune.

The 20th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Moc Chau district for the 2024-2029 tenure was held on May 23. 

The armed forces of Thuan Chau district on May 22 organised the “determined to win” emulation congress for the 2019-2024 period.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Bac Yen district on May 22 organised its 16th Congress for the 2024-2029 tenure.

With the spirit of "The whole country for Truong Sa, Truong Sa for the whole country", a delegation from Son La province led by Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee has joined a working group of the Ministry of National Defence to visit soldiers and people on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago and DK1 platforms from May 19.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Son La province held a ceremony on May 20 to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the province’s forest ranger force (May 21, 1974 - 2024).
